Google Chrome Bookmarks - Organize your search experience

  • It is a great tool to organize our internet surfing experience  faster and easier.
  • You can group your links by categories according to your activities.
    • Example: an administrative folder to list all your bills to pay.
    • One folder for education, work, hobbies etc.
  • You can create your folders to meet your need as they start showing or create some structure and start adding things to fit your plan.
    • Some Examples:
      • 2Review: to drop anything you want to check later but that is not critical
      • Main: to collect all the main activities you constantly do (check facebook, watch YouTube, browse Amazon, WhatsApp access, Google translator, Google Contacts, Meetup, Dropbox, and etc)
      • MyBusiness: anything related to your business
      • Career: anything related to your education
      • Projects: things you want to accomplish
      • Shopping: website of places to buy things
      • People: website from people you like to follow
      • GeekSpot: anything related to technology
      • Hobbies: things you do for recreation

Clean-up
I won't be surprised to find that there are some people who need to do a cleanup before the start. If this your case, then let's clean up your current Google Bookmarks
  • Mac users: the Google Chrome menu is at the top left of the Google Chrome page. There you will find the BOOKMARK option > select Bookmark Manager
  • PC users: your Google Bookmark option is located in the top right corner of your Google Browser. just click the 3dots and select BOOKMARKS > Select Bookmark Manager
This is a good place to clean, delete and organize your current bookmarks. If you have too many and they are too messy - you can always create a folder called "2Review" put everything there and commit to checking this folder later.

Showing Bookmark in your Google Chrome
  • Mac Users - top menu > view > check "always show bookmarks"
  • PC users - top right corner of your Google Browser. just click the 3dots and select BOOKMARKS > check "Show Bookmark Bar"
Creating Folders
  • You must create the folder before adding any web link
  • Do a right click over the bookmark bar and select "add a folder" type the name > save
  • You can change the position of the folder just by dragging the folder from there position
  • You can create a folder inside a folder > just select the folder and then do the right click over that folder to add the folder.
Adding WebLinks or Bookmarks
  • You must open the page in the browser
  • Grab the lock icon located on the left side of the URL link and drop it in the folder

Be Organize & Be Creative
